The Sprinter light rail service is a light rail system with an entirely different structure for fare structures than the Trolley and the bus. The fare for the Sprinter can be $2.50 for a single-way trip. The Sprinter also has a daily pass for the Sprinter for $5. The monthly pass for the Sprinter is $100.

If you are disabled, a senior citizen, or a student, you may be eligible for a discounted fare. To qualify for the discounted fare you need to have an ID card that is valid.

San Diego County also has several transportation options for tourists. The San Diego Visitor Passport is a one-day pass that gives unlimited trips on the bus or Trolley as well as the Sprinter. The price to purchase the Visitor Passport will be $9/day. The Passport can be purchased.

If you’re feeling upbeat, you can take a walk to San Diego to Del Mar along the coast. The walk is around 8 miles (13 km) and can take between 2 and 3 hours depending on the pace you’re at. Or, you can choose to take the bus or drive, but where’s the fun in that?
